About Joe Evola

Seemingly born with a chamois as a baby blanket and tiny Top Siders from his father (Joe, Sr.), Joe Evola, Jr. started Diversified Marine Services to fill a gap in the marine services industry and keep him strongly connected to his lifelong passions of boating and the Great Lakes.

After spending years casually helping potential buyers better understand the condition of the boat they were looking to purchase, Joe became a licensed Marine Surveyor. He started Diversified to provide surveying services along with other, unique services that were difficult for boat owners, buyers and sellers to find.

Prior to launching Diversified, Joe provided exceptional outcomes as a Sr. Service Technician at marinas including the former Jefferson Beach Marina and Miller Marina. Joe became certified with nearly every major marine manufacturer and has worked on just about every make and model of powerboat found on the Great Lakes.

Joe also spent several years running a marine salvage operation assisting stranded boaters as well as providing service to various maritime law enforcement agencies.  In addition, Joe obtained his 100 Ton Master Captain's license.

In the summer, in his limited free time, you will most definitely find Joe near the water, maintaining his own personal flotilla!
